l have lived in Miyazaki for two years now and was fortunate enough to visit Miyazaki Prefectural Library for the first time about a year and a haif ago.
I drive by Miyazaki Culture Park everyday on my way to school and that' how I became interested in exploring the area further. The area between the three buildings is serene and an inviting place to relax on a sunny day. ln addition to the library I've also visited the majestic concert hall as well as the Prefectural Museum.
For centuries public libraries have served as meeting places where community members can meet, have discussions, study, keep up-to-date on current events, and explore new and different worlds through reading books.
The Miyazaki Prefectural Library is no exception. I was particularly impressed with the friendly and helpful staff as well as the wide selection of English books available.
I have visited a number of public libraries throughout the world. I must say that Miyazaki Prefectural Library ranks near the top in terms of comfort. selection and availability of modem technology. There are plenty of computers and I was pleased to discover that they have an English language option. The library is a quiet and relaxing way to spend a couple of house.
As a regular visitor to the Miyazaki Prefectural Library for some time now, I can say that this multi-purpose facility is excellent for both Japanese and Foreigners. If you haven't yet visited, do yourself a favor and take some time to explore this fine Miyazaki institution. I recommend Miyazaki Prefectural Park and the library to people of all ages and nationalities.
