I am very lucky to have visited the library so into my stay in Japan.
This is a place I will visit many times during the next few years.
The library itself is beautiful and sits prestigiously on the surrounding grouunds.
The area reminded me of my university in Texas due to all of the people relaxing, taking and playing Frisbee in the grassy park next to it.
Inside the library, I first noticed the newspaper section and was thrilled to be able to become updated on the US presidental election. I spent over an hour absorbed by news from my home country.
The atmosphere inside is very quiet and relaxing.I could imagine myself reading for hours in peace. There were tables and chairs placed directly under under huge windows that allow the sunlight to brighten the entire building. The area looked perfect for hours of escaping from the real world and into one of fiction, adventure, and travel. Many young people were studying on the comfortable chairs, and again I was reminded of my university.
I was very excited as I inspected the foreign language section. I was able to find many of the books I have wanted to read. I was especially thrilled to find a number of books on Japanese culture and tradition. These books are often difficult to find in English, but a subject I am very interested in. I could easily imagine myself reading them on a cold Saturday afternoon.
In the future I may be difficult to find. However, the best place to look will probably be lounging on one of the huge chairs, surrounded by books,at the Miyazaki Prefectural Library.
